Name: Captain Cruise

The name is revealing enough: it’s your captain in the cruise traveling scene. Captain Cruise capably navigates you through the sea of thousands of cruise vacations. He lets you book online responsibly and makes sure you always pay the lowest price available.

Captain Cruise hasn’t been around that long yet but has already managed to win a prestigious price straight away; the Reisrevue Innovation Feather 2009. Having to choose from a astonishing amount of nominations the jury picked Captain Cruise as the most innovating (automating) - initiative in the Dutch travelling scene.

The jury found the user-friendliness of the website particularly convincing. Within 15 minutes visitors can book a cruise, flight, hotel and transfer. This is not only unique in The Netherlands, but in the entire world. Ship ahoy!

Name: Sport Sportief

SportSportief is the football specialist of Noord-Holland. This sports shop in Zaandam always stays on top of the latest trends. Because of their close cooperation with famous brands, including Nike and Adidas, this means that the latest style of football shoes is firstly available at SportSportief. Obviously, this is also the case of beautiful, sporty and functional clothing, both for men and women.

Name: Energiened

For the Dutch Energy Industry about:blank has developed a website offering an information section for the general public next to a portal for both the energy suppliers and their clients. Due to various interfaces, the content is presented through a CMS in a dynamic and personalized way. The integrated application named Hermes is a marketplace bringing suppliers and customers together in their pursuit of innovative research on gas and electricity management.

Name: Friendhunter

Friendhunter occupies a special position as employment intermediate. At Friendhunter, ordinary people play a key role as ‘employment officers’, by introducing befriended job-seekers to firms and companies with vacancies. This works because they know the qualities and competences of their friends and family well. With the comprehensive tools offered by Friendhunter, they can spot job opportunities for close friends and family.

Name: Airtrade

about:blank has developed a web/XML interface for Airtrade for availability checks and bookings of leisure products. about:blank also developed the CMS used for producing travel brochures and for filling out data at www.vliegwinkel.nl.

Name: Findsi

Findsi is a new social search system for which you don’t have to be social. It is the closest thing to Web 3.0. Key players in the Internet world closely monitor its development. Findsi is currently in the Gamma phase, but this doesn’t keep us from publicly sharing the revolutionary system with a large number of testers.

Name: Digimedo

Digimedo facilitates webshops for creative entrepreneurs, especially designers. Digimedo helps shop owners to reduce the dull distraction that could intervene with their creativity, such as planning, accounting and billing. With Digimedo entrepreneurs can fully focus on what they’re good at: being creative.

Name: Bulb Trade Center

The online bulb portal, where growers and buyers of flower bulbs meet was created and developed by about:blank in close collaboration with the industries’ expert, Ruud Berbee. The bulb portal functions as a marketplace based on supply and demand. It also has links to the back office systems of growers and exporters (via EDI and XML).

Name: TWI

For TWI about:blank has built an electronic invoicing system which tour operators and travel agencies can use to exchange electronic invoices.

Name: Politie Gooi & Vechtstreek

about:blank developed an intranet for Politie Gooi & Vechtstreek. In addition, an application was created for the shared emergency room of the police, fire brigade and ambulance to facilitate an easy and swift exchange of information.

Name: Allesvoordehelft

For Allesvoordehelft.nl our company has developed the website(s) and the complete back office supporting the logistic process and all related activities. These can thus be carried out efficiently.

Name: Zonnetour

The technology behind the well-known holiday site of Zonnetour was developed by about:blank. Beautiful accommodations with high ratings at the Zoover holiday review site are offered on the site. Through underlying links, it is possible to check availability online and to make a direct booking. The administrator has a back office at his disposal with many adjustable features and functionalities.

Name: Bouwend Nederland

With 5.000 members, Bouwend Nederland, the association of construction and infrastructure companies, is the largest employers’ federation in the construction industry. The building industry in the Netherlands provides 6% of the gross domestic product, with a production worth 56.6 billion Euro (2006 price level). The sector employs over 500,000 people. Bouwend Nederland was the second client of about:blank and we are proud of our ongoing cooperation. Bouwend Nederland consists of different branches, for which we have built several applications. Bouwend Nederland appreciates our pragmatic approach. We have developed the following websites:
